2023 Vertières Thanksgiving Food Drive

Greetings! We hope that you are well and excited for the Autumn season that is upon us. As Thanksgiving approaches, we are excited to announce our 2023 Vertières Food Drive, which aims to provide a memorable and meaningful holiday for families in need within our Haitian community of Orlando. We are reaching out to you today with a humble request for sponsorship, as your support would greatly enhance the impact of this event.
On November 18th, 1803, the defining battle in the Haitian revolution was fought, Bataille de Vertières. The Haitian revolutionaries defeated the French Army in this final battle and with it rid the nation of slavery and colonization. On this historic date, November 18th, 2023, GHACC and TKC Creole will serve our Haitian community to commemorate the way the Haitian revolutionaries served us by giving their lives for freedom. The success of this drive depends on the generous contributions of businesses like yours. We are planning to distribute over 500 Thanksgiving turkeys and meal packages to families facing economic hardships. The smiles, gratitude, and sense of unity that this event will bring to our community is immeasurable.
