Opera Orlando presents Rigoletto

Opera Orlando presents Rigoletto, the first-ever opera performed in the new Steinmetz Hall at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.

In this tragic masterpiece, a court jester is caught in a web of corruption, lust, and vengeance. It stars Korean baritone SeungHyeon Baek in the title role, Metropolitan Opera soprano Lindsay Ohse as Gilda, and renowned tenor Kirk Dougherty as the evil Duke of Mantua. The Metropolitan Opera’s Gregory Buchalter conducts this original and exciting production, which is directed by world-renowned stage director Kathleen Belcher. These are both debuts for Opera Orlando.

Rigoletto goes on stage Friday, April 22 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 24 at 2 p.m. The opera is sung in Italian with English subtitles and will feature the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, Opera Orlando Chorus, and the Orlando Ballet.

Members of the Greater Haitian American Chamber of Commerce can receive 25% off Rigoletto tickets when they use the code Chambers at checkout.

Tickets start at $19
