The Greater Haitian American Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the election of Joseph Augustin as its new President and Chairperson. Mr. Augustin, who currently serves as Secretary of the organization, was elected with 78 percent of the vote and will officially begin his two-year term on January 1, 2026.
This election marks a significant milestone for GHACC. It is the first formal presidential election held by the organization in nearly a decade and demonstrated strong engagement and enthusiasm from the Haitian-American business community. The level of participation reaffirmed the Chamberโs role as a trusted platform for leadership, collaboration, and collective progress.
Joseph Augustin brings continuity, experience, and a deep commitment to service into this role. Having already served on the Executive Board, his leadership reflects both institutional knowledge and a forward-looking vision for GHACCโs next chapter. A formal message from President-Elect Augustin will be released soon, outlining his mission, priorities, and the volunteers appointed to his Board of Directors and committees.
As the outgoing President and Chairperson, I will remain actively involved with the Chamber and its initiatives. In addition to supporting the incoming administration, I will lead a newly formed committee focused on Corporate Partner Engagement, strengthening relationships that advance opportunities for our GHACC Members and the broader community.
The Greater Haitian American Chamber of Commerce invites all business owners, all professionals, and community leaders to join GHACC and be part of an organization dedicated to economic empowerment, professional development, and meaningful connection. Membership offers access to resources, partnerships, advocacy, and a growing network committed to shared success.
